Popmoney is a free, easy, and secure payment service for transferring money. You can use your current account with us to electronically send money to virtually anyone using an email address, mobile number, or bank account information. The receiver will get an email or text message indicating someone has sent them money.
This service is available to Online Banking subscribers and must be activated through a browser prior to using Popmoney with the South Central Bank app.
- Sign in to Online Banking
- Navigate to “Bill Pay”
- Select the Terms & Conditions, click on “what else can I do”
- Select “Popmoney”
- Select “Contacts” and begin adding people you want to send money to and choose the delivery method: direct deposit, mobile, or email.

You can send money 3 ways:
Your contact will receive an email with instructions on how to direct the payment into his or her bank account.
A text message will be sent to the recipient on your behalf with instructions on how to direct the payment into his or her bank account. If the recipient does not respond to the payment notification after 3 days, a reminder text message will be sent reminding them to act on the payment notification. Standard message and data rates may apply.
Direct Deposit with bank account information (Account & Routing #)
The money will be directly deposited into the recipient’s bank account. You will also have the option to send the recipient an email confirming the transfer.
