Through the years...
A lot has changed since 1972 when our founder, James Kenneth Bale, purchased Deposit Bank of Monroe County. Deposit Bank’s 83 years of service to rural Kentucky provided Mr. Bale a strong basis to build South Central Bank and to fulfill his dream of providing true community-centered banking services to the families, individuals, and businesspeople of the local area.
Today, we have nearly 50,000 customers and $1.6 billion in assets. Through the years we have grown larger, but we have never forgotten our roots and our mission of helping our customers through honest and fair treatment, large and small alike.
Investing in communities...
The success of the South Central Bank is attributed to Mr. Bale always paying attention to the needs of the communities he served and by investing in hard work with the dedication and strong commitment to succeed. These values are carried on today by the Bale Family and South Central Bank’s employees and has allowed us to change countless lives and communities as we built the trust that keeps generations of commercial and retail customers coming back to us as their financial partner.
To our clients, thank you for entrusting South Central Bank with your finances. Serving you is a privilege and one that we take seriously. We are grateful to have been a part of your story – just as you have been such an important part of ours.
From our family to yours, we are grateful for your support through the years and the trust you place in us. Thank you!
