South Central Bank has officially named Chris Whitfield President of its Bowling Green market. He will oversee the operations of 6 branches.

Whitfield, who has already begun his duties as president, has served as the bank’s General Counsel since 2013 and will continue to do so.

The Bowling Green market consists of 6 locations (1757 Campbell Ln, 5251 Scottsville Rd, 805 Lehman Ave, 3505 Louisville Rd, 2710 Nashville Rd) including 1 location in Franklin (204 South Main Street).

Whitfield is a Bowling Green native and graduate of Greenwood High School. He attended WKU where he majored in Economics and Political Science. After graduating summa cum laude, Chris worked for US Senator Mitch McConnell in Washington DC until he attended law school at the University of Kentucky College of Law.

Chris serves as President of the Board of Directors for Megan’s Mobile Grocery, he is a former Warren County Bar Association President and is active in his Church, Broadway United Methodist. Chris lives in Bowling Green with his wife, Jenni, and their two dogs.
