2021 Salute to Veterans Celebration

November is a special time for our community as it is an opportunity to express gratitude to those among us who serve and have served our country, defended our rights, and protected our freedom.

For over 15 years, South Central Bank has honored those who have answered the call to serve in the United States military with a special event, the Veterans Day Breakfast, which has typically been an indoor activity.  Because of the COVID-19 pandemic and safety concerns, the 2021 Salute to Veterans Celebration will be an outdoor event with social distancing and safety measures in place.

The Salute to Veterans Celebration will take place the morning of Wednesday, November 10 at the South Central Bank Operations Center, South Central Bank employees will host a “drive-thru” parade in the parking lot.  Veterans throughout the community will be invited to drive through a marked parade route while being shown many expressions of gratitude for their service by members of our community – all at a safe distance.

Although it will not be the typical celebration South Central Bank has done in the past – this event is a special and safe way to express our genuine appreciation for the men and women who have served our country.

We are inviting you are your organization to participate in this event. Your involvement would help ensure our Veterans receive the kind of celebration they deserve.  Participation in the event would only require your organization to have a presence along the parade with some expressions of gratitude to our Veterans as they drive through the route.
